CloudOps Lead in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
Living in the beautiful Lower Mainland of British Columbia, I am husband to Christiane and father to Avery and Nathan.
I am currently serving as the CloudOps Lead of QIO Technologies, where I am responsible for the infrastructure features of the Nautilian Platform.
My journey with cloud technologies started when I was the Development Lead of Boeing's Digital Aviation platform project. We successfully delivered the first of its kind PaaS solution based on the WSO2 suite on AWS. Since leaving Boeing, I had the privilege to join renown enterprise organization, exciting start-ups and innovative open source community like QIO Technologies, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, ActiveState and Cloud Foundry. The products that I worked on serve some of the largest credit card company, national broadcast and academic institution.
Experience with both development and operation support, I work predominantly with Golang, Bash, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes and AWS these days. I am also excited about technologies like the Hashicorp stack, the CoreOS stack, securing distributed systems with PKI, service discovery with DNS and CaaS like Azure Container Service.
I am responsible for designing and implementing QIO's Nautilian Platform CI/CD pipeline, container storage backup/restore service and autoscaling strategy. I also work closely with the Service Team to support our production environment.
